German?
-
Indeed! ;)
-
Flocken?
-
It was built by a quite known brand.
-
Not Henschel, then.
-
No, go south...
-
From Dresden?
-
South, not east...
-
I thought Henschell was from Berlin...unless you mean Potsdam, that is South of Charlottenburg.
-
I thought Henschel was from Kassel, but that may only have been the train factories...
-
Adler?
-
Leave Frankfurt behind you and go farther.
-
Daimler?
-
Horch?
-
This is the region:
-
NSU related?
-
Wrong german state.
-
Maurer?
-
LOCKED for you!
Do you have one or two details and a reasonable year for me?
-
It doesn't look too much different from the 1901 Maurer-Union (middle picture below). Ludwig Maurer built his first prototype in 1898. Like all his cars it had a friction drive. In 1900 he started manufacturing the Maurer-Union.
-
O.K., now we have the riction drive as the significant technical feature.
But what´s so special about the puzzle car?
1901 is wrong, by the way.
-
Although it looks a little bit different on my picture I'll try and guess that it is the 1898 prototype.
-
Exactly!
It is the very first prototype of his friction drive from 1897.
