Milos, please lock the puzzle next time. Nicanary was almost there and he should have deserved the chance to finish this off. Thanks

Quite so.
I was pretty sure the answer would be Super Sport but I didn't post as I didn't think it fair to try to pinch nicanary's point..

Sorry, my mistake. Point deserves to have it for Walter. Question for nicanary: The name of this vehicle.

milos62

nicanary

The odd thing is, even though it wasn't locked for me, I took so long and didn't get the correct designation. Other puzzlers had the chance but didn't post for several days, so I don't mind at all - it was me being blind. Now I know the answer it's very obvious.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Try the name of this vehicle? Builds on the previous.

Milos62 - thank you for being helpful and giving me another try. This is clearly another Walter, but I don't know anything about it. The only reason I got anywhere near an answer last time was through luck, and trying numerous questions, and the fact that nobody else attempted the puzzle for a few days.

Eastern European cars are not my speciality. We know very little in the UK about these cars - if I Google Walter cars there is a Wikipedia entry with a short history of the marque, but nothing else. Google Images only shows a few production passenger cars. Even Georgano's Encyclopedia of Motor Sport is very brief, with little information of any use.

Once again, thank you, but I suggest that this extra puzzle of yours would make a good post for all Pros, and i think the best thing would be to move it to that section. I cannot answer it!
