First thought was an Alfa, but I try Fiat 1100 by Touring
-
I don't know the base of the car !
-
But what do you know or in other words : what information do you want us to give you ?
-
I just know the maker !
-
I just know the maker !
Do you mean: the coachbuilder?
-
Not a coach builder !
-
I try with Castagna Fiat 1500...
-
So let's be clear : you are looking for a guy who made this car or the body but he is no official coach builder ? It is better to have things clear !
-
Not Castagna Fiat 1500
A firm built this car, and not only the body !
-
may it be an Alfa Romeo?
-
I don't know ! I know little thing of this car !
-
So, if I understand well, we are looking for the name of a company that built that car, but not the name of a car manufacturer or coachbuilder, correct?
So I guess the company we are looking for is not usually associated with car manufacturing?
-
Yes !the company is associated with van and car manufacturing !
-
Yes !the company is associated with van and car manufacturing !
But is it a coachbuilder?
-
A Bianchi prototype? ???
-
Is it from Italy ?
-
Not a Bianchi !
An Italian builder ( not a coach builder ) during little time !
-
Was it built in the 1940s?
-
Looking at the picture it should be a car built in Milan during the war...
-
Did this company make more cars (or other vehicles) or just this one ?
-
Magneti Marelli?
-
Yes! a car built in Milan during the war !
I don't know if there are other cars of built !
But not Magneti Marelli !
-
Pros !
-
It is an Auto-Lux, so probably an electric car. The source says that the picture is supposed to be from 1937/38, but the white lining and the electric conversion makes me rather think that it was built during WW2.
The rear side of the picture:
