1950 JAG roadster, a repost: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=17298
Perhaps a JAG ,but the base of the car is not Ford !
Locked for Wendax !
At least one JAG was MG-based.
And not MG-based !
Sorry but unlocked !
One JAG was Coventry-Climax powered, but I wouldn't have thought this was that one. Is it?
V8 3600cc is what Georgano says...
That is the Ford V8 engine of the repost mentioned above.
Yes, in Georgano's it's reported Ford V8.
I think this is what your source claims too:
Hmmm...it's not the same pic!
I've just found reference to a car built by John Griffiths which had a supercharged Riley engine (presumably 1100cc or 1500cc). Can this be the answer?
Not a car built by John Griffiths !
Did the JAG have a Buckler tubular chassis?

John A. Griffiths was the owner and builder of J.A.G. cars. You have me confused ???
Anyway - you say it's not Ford V8 or 10hp engined, nor MG, Coventry-Climax or Riley engined. I cannot find any reference to JAG cars which were fitted with anything else.
I therefore assume that this particular car has been re-engined at a later date, and that means almost anything could be under the bonnet. Is it a Mercury (aka Ford) engine?
Sorry ! it's a JAG body on a surprising chassis !(but not Buckler !)
RGS Atalanta chassis?
Not RGS Atalanta chassis !
The wheels make me think this car is a fairly mundane car - is it a mass-produced British family saloon?
Frazer Nash ?
Not a mundane car and not a Frazer Nash !
Lea-Francis?
Not Lea-Francis !
Lanchester?
Alvis?
Aston Martin ?
Allard?
And 1 point for Carnut ! :)
An Alvis Silver Eagle Special !
Thanks SACO!
