I tried to find out more about these cars not long ago.
Motocor stands for 'MOTOvetturetta Carrozzata Originale Resistentissima'.
Before they built the Edit, there was the Motocor 7hp (575cc) and later the 9hp (745cc).
There was a 4-wheeled version for each engine and the 1st model was available with a wooden body or a metallic one. The bigger one was sold as a 2-seater 'per professionisti', 3-seater 'da diporto' and in the Taxi, Furgoncino and Camioncino versions.

I think Paul is right, as he has already identified it as the Italian Moto Car in one of my group puzzles before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=16004.msg149711#msg149711
