Found it!

It's an Austin-Healey 100/4 with a small-block Chevrolet engine and four-speed gearbox believed to have been built for racing in the late 1950s.
The current owner Bruce Glascock acquired the car in the early 2000s but doesn't know what it was called or who built it.

My commiserations Otto, but I often refer to the site where the puzzle car was featured and knew where to find it quickly.

I'm about to start posting new puzzles again and I'm sure several will be 'up your street'  ;)
