Wotzit?

The rear half definitely has come from a Diva GT (sadly!)

What a mash-up!

Not a Wotzit.  It does start with a "W" though...

Perhaps a Wotsit then?

Woodinsight?  ;D

Haha.......even though I used to own a Diva (as per my avatar) I certainly had no involvement with this thing!

Is the name beginning "Wo.." a "joke" name or based on the owners name?

It's a joke name and a word you'd never find in a dictionary.  The beginning bit is derived from an owner's name.

It looks like something the Wombles had constructed - weren't they known for collecting and recycling rubbish?

Is it worthwhile searching for the name of the owner who built it or is he an unknown?

I thought you had it there jsut for a moment when I first saw your post..

I just tried Googling the former owner's name but got nothing; it wasn't him who built it anyway. The builder is not known.

Thanks Carnut,

I decided to revert to my Thesaurus for possible solutions and found one possible however unlikely it may sound.

Let me explain - one of the opposites to 'wonderful' was 'awful', hence my guess as 'woeful' - unlikely but was worth a guess nonetheless!

One of the only other possibles was 'horrible' where the second letter was an 'o'.

Therefore I have come up with 'worrible' (it combines the expression 'it's 'orrible' with your hint of the Wombles if that makes sense!)

I'm presuming the man behind the car had a surname beginning 'Wor.....'

I've googled worrible with no result except for a squashable toy...........

Brilliant!
So good in fact I've given you 2 points.
If you squint at 'Womble' the 'm' could look like 'rri', which is what I meant.
But Worrible it is, after previous owner Peter Worrall.
Very, very well done; Sherlock Holmes has nothing on you!

Thanks Carnut, I think deduction by Thesaurus was the only way of solving this one.

I'm sure I've seen this car somewhere before - perhaps in an early Motoring News or Autosport?

I'd love to know which Diva was vandalised in the building process. - hopefully it was a write-off!
