It's French I believe....certainly the engine and driver are French.

The engine is not a Simca......
Just to add a snippet of information - this car is French but the only race I can trace that it competed is not France...

I have the the engine as a Citroen L4 - is that the same as you stated?

It's a VAF Jihel-Mickey IV 1939 ( perhaps Jihel for J.L and Mickey for MK ? )
