I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

CIME A2 from 1929. A French maker based in Saint Etienne, near Lyon.

There was quite a hint on the windshield  ;)

You're right. As usual, I didn't see the clue until it was too late!. Yous still had work to do though, so a well-earned point.

One is always learning!
I only ever came across CIME as the maker of engines, and even Georgano doesn't list it as a car maker.

Yes, quite so. I was dubious myself, but Wikipedia (I know that it's not always reliable) states that they made light cars as well as making and supplying engines. As you say, you live and learn.
