Recognised the Z3 windscreen and top, as the Z3 isn't a bad looking car I have no idea why you would want this kit unless yours had had a collision and needed repair?

Although I'm personally not a fan of the Z3's looks, it is a darn sight better than this body kit.  I was there at Exeter last October when the Z300S was unveiled, and there was a faint gasp of surprise/shock!  It's a shame really, as the concept to rebody a Z3 and give it a more retro look is quite inspired.

I thought it ended up more TVR than Italian retro myself.

I had seen a Z3 kit for a Miata (MX5) before, but this looks like a Miata (MX5) kit for a Z3.

That's exactly what I thought and I was very disappointed not see anyone ask if it was a TVR!

Tribute Automotive Kobra

Not exactly in that it's a Tribute Automotive but isn't a Kobra.
What's the base and what's the car meant to be?
Locked for you!

BMW Z3 based 1950's style GT

Z300S

OK, I'll give you that since it does say that on one website.
On another it appeared it was meant to be a Ferrari GTO convertible (!); the slats rear of the wheel-arches give the game away...!
Not that the Ferrai GTO was from the '50s, but I think it's very loose replica!
Very good.

Well it does say that on the manufacturers website, so I thought it would be the most accurate source...

The maker of this car is Tribute Automotive, and the model name is Z300S, which should be mentioned in the subject heading I guess.  Thanks.

Tribute Automotive was brave/stupid enough to recently display one of these on its stand at a kit car show, proudly wearing Maserati badges!  I suspect they may be hearing from some Italian lawers very soon  :(
