Well spotted, yes, so it's not quite what it seems.
So it is a bit of a mish-mash - but of what? And from when?

Sorry, I thought you meant it was some kind of home-built based on the modern Skoda Rapid, though of course that being rear-engined I don't think I had my brain in the right gear!

It's not based on a pre-war Skoda, though it is based on a 1930s car.

Was this car (body) built in the same country as the base car (chassis & engine) ?

Looks like an Aero 30 Roadster, built from 1934 to 1947, with a non-stock convertible roof to me.

That's the right car, yes, but doesn't solve the puzzle!
I had to be careful what I asked for without giving the game away, hence I only asked 'from when does it date'.  The base is from the 1930s, yes, but that's not the whole story; this puzzle is therefore locked for you to look into and come up with the full answer!

Couldn't find this very car so far. Just a guess: the conversion is from the Sixties.

Not from the 1960s, no.
I've been trying to ascertain whether this is actually a restored/converted original 1930s car or a later replica but I'm not quite sure which.  I originally thought it was based on an original but now I'm not so sure.
Anyway, the car is out there so the puzzle is still there to solve!
