I found a similar 1950 Allard K2 coupé for sale at Bonhams
claimed to be the only K2 built on chassis 91K 774
"It is thought to have been shown at the 1950 New York International Auto Show"
That's not what I'm looking for though.
What does it have that other similar ones don't have, and who was responsible for it?

Yes, the roof!
Now I need to know who was responsible for it.
I have got it F and J Wraith Ltd
That's it, yes! It was a detachable hardtop said in the write-up there to be by F. & J. Wraight Ltd of Ramsgate. That spelling doesn't look right to me though; Wraith is highly unlikely as that's not a surname and I reckon it should be Wright, although you never know; it might be a one-off surname!

Actually Wraight is a not uncommon Kentish surname (or a surname of Kent) so far as I know and there are quite a few in the phone listings of Kent, even today when BT leaves out those who are not its customers.

Thanks Allan.
It's a new one on me but I'll take it as correct then.
I'll check on the Wraights next time I'm there; I often visit relations in Broadstairs!
