It is of course.
I can't remember noticing the badge on the wing; or maybe I thought nobody could read it!

Thanks, I allways seem to miss the second part as I am pleased to find the car. It was build from 1961 untill 1967 according to Wiki, more than 25.000 were build

Wiki Fr..

Carnut

1 point for you.
Pretty little car.

25.000 looks absolutely unrealistic. I'm not even sure Moretti made 25.000 cars in its whole history. I think it was built in a few hundred units, or even less.
And this was made only until late 1964.
A second series (totally new body) was launched already in early 1965.

Carnut

Yes, I didn't pay enough attention to that figure.
I think the decimal point is in the wrong place; they probably sold 25....!

Not to be borng... but this is actually a 2nd series. The first was made in 1957 already.

OK!  The caption to the photo called it a first series and you yourself said a 2nd series was launched in 1965, so I took it as correct!

??? Yes, I contributed in making confusion. So, to recap:

- first 500 Coupé - 1957 - styling by Michelotti - based on New 500 - only a few units made, also as station-wagon
- second 500 Coupé - 1961 - styling by Michelotti - based on 500 D - regular production, also with spider body
- third 500 Coupé - 1965 - styling by Brawand - prototype based on 500 D and production run on 500 F - coupé only, but also with 590 SS engine (Giannini)
- fourth Coupé - 1967 - styling by Frua - based on 500 F - originally intended with Giannini 700 4C engine (never really completed) but a few units made with stock Fiat engine
