Jaguar by Vignale ?
It's by Vignale, but not a Jaguar.
OK, found it : it's a Bill Frick special, built in 1956 and bodied by Vignale. It has a Cadillac engine.

Yes it is.
There was a number of Vignale Bill Frick Cadillacs though, at least one of which has appeared here before.
Would you like to go into a bit more detail about which one this is please?
Locked for your reply.
3 Bill Frick Specials were made : a prototype, a convertible and a coupé for John Blodgett Jr. The Blodgett coupé was made in 1957 and is more square-ish than the puzzle, so this one must be the prototype.

Actually I think there were more than 3; I had this one as the second, but it may well be the first (prototype) as it seems to date from 1956 whilst the others are from 1957 or 1958.
Some of them have been puzzled on AP before; here they all are - the numbers not necessarily referring to their correct chronological position!
At least 2 of them were, I believe, made in very small series to be sold by a dealer named Fina in New York:
