You're right up to a point, but it's not exactly 'a TVR 3'. What is it exactly?
I wonder why the original puzzle didn't show on my search for '1951 TVR' (putting 'TVR 3' in won't work as the search will not accept single digits).

It might originally have had an 1172 cc Ford side-valve, but not for long.
