Not exactly, but well spotted. It was built in a large city in the county of Warwickshire.

Correct city?

As I said before, not Warwick.  It was built in Coventry - I'll tell you that because a very large number of British marques were made there, and it doesn't help much!

According to "the always correct" Wikipedia Calcott was from Coventry. The reason why I asked that according to the same source Coventry is now in the county of West Midlands and no longer part of Warwickshire.

Next question: Is the manufacturer still in business?

Sorry - the changes in county boundaries and renaming have left me confused! This marque was built in Coventry when it was still part of Warwickshire. It is no longer in business, although it was still an engineering company until 1987, although car production stopped in the 1920s.

Alpha(Johnson, Hurley and Martin)

Not that. You're very determined - I like that. But it'll take a long time to go through the alphabet of extinct marques from Coventry.

The first letter of this marque is in the first half of the alphabet...

Not all of them stopped production in the twenties ;D. There was a company called Alpha Engineering still active in 1985. Thought I had found it :(

Tell you what - I'm going to help further, but this might assist other puzzlers, so be quick with your detective work.

Before and after they made cars, this company made textile machinery.

A rather young puzzle, to not have an image...

I think this was the original puzzle image.
