The First DKW prototype from 1920, called "der kleine Bergsteiger (the little climber), and utilizing a Slaby-Beringer body with a DKW engine mounted on the left running board.  Both Slaby-Beringer and DKW were controlled by industrialist J. S.  Rasmussen.
