What is this car? Who built it, on what chassis, and with what engine?

I'm surprised nobody has tried this one. I've just checked and the photos are still available on Google.

It's a British-built special. and not as old as it looks.

So its chassis is English, bigger than an MG but neither Jaguar nor Rover. Based on a Riley ?

Postwar chassis ?

This chassis is post-war, although the manufacturer made cars pre-war as well.

I've tried pretty much all relevant English carmakers and I've found nothing.

Is it based on a Triumph chassis ?

Not a Triumph. The maker of the chassis made sporting cars pre-war but high quality touring cars post-war.

Jensen?

Not Jensen. I guess it is unlocked now - I'd forgotten to mention that.
