Sorry, not that.
Pros?
OK, here we go. Is it an English car ?
Built in UK, at this time in its life it had a British engine, but the chassis was from another country.
American chassis ?
French chassis?
I think I found it (see picture below). If this is the car, it is called the Triangle Special and powered by a supercharged Lea-Francis Hyper engine, running on methanol.
Well done. You have indeed found it, in true AP Pro style. It was built by Bruce Spollon on an old Lombard chassis, and had a Cozette supercharger.
My source referred to it a the Lombard Triangle Special - I think there were others from him, as well as completely different Triangle Specials.
Ted Lloyd-Jones built the Triangle Special pre-war; Bruce Spollon owned it later (1940s) and that Shelsley photo of Bruce at its wheel is from 1947.
Not to be confused with other TL-J Triangle Specials of which there were a couple I think.

Thanks Allan. That'll teach me to read the full webpage before I post! My apologies for the incorrect information and I will amend the puzzle title.
