What is this car? I need the base car, what it was known as, and the year the car was built.
Experts?
Pros?
From UK ?
Base car from the UK?
Australian?
I thought it looked familiar. Except I can't remember where I've seen it before.

That's what happens when I look in a mirror ;D
:)
It looks very similar to a special called Terror that was built in the 1930s.
However that is probably wrong as it was based on a Frazer Nash...... :-\

Sorry, completely off-track. However..... the base marque did begin with an "F".
Ford special?
FIAT?

FIAT?
Yes! A bit too early to lock it though. What was its name, when was it built, and on what model base?
Is it Harold Drake-Richmond's special built circa 1927 on a Fiat 509 chassis?

You're getting closer. It was built on a 1927 chassis, but the conversion was later, and I have a different name for the builder.
Is the post locked? I believe I know the answer!

Not locked. Tell me what you know.
All right. So it is known as the "FIAT 509 Adams Special" and was built in 1935 using a 1927 chassis with a 1100 cc., 30-hp engine.

Yes! All correct answers - built by Frank Adams in Australia, but I notice that it is being photographed these days at Retro events in Germany, complete with German plates.
Thanks!
I have seen the same pictures taken in Germany, the only visual change being the exhaust pipe.
