Can others join in? You seem to have missed D-Type's bid ten minutes ago! Sorry - it was I who missed something!

I'll bid 9119

9119: Lever
I can only find Lever as an engine maker, whose engines powered some cars made by Elcar in 1930. Kissel made Lever engines in 1933 or so.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

2209: BOWDEN (1)
I'll go for Benjamin George Bowden, designer for Humber and - more important - Healey sports cars. He also is known for his Spacelander bicycle.

Lever Motors Corporation, Elkhart, Indiana \ A. L. Powell Power Company, Wheaton, Illinois

Correct! It was the Elcar Model 95 and there were 3 other cars on Stude, Kissel and Ruxton chassis.

+24 for you!

Not him.

Well. I think I've been lucky;  In 1935 Clessie Cummins who had taken part in Indianapolis 500 miles with a modified Duesemberg, made a 3774 miles tour in America with his Auburn 1934 powered with a Diesel Model A 6 cyl. engine.  I add a picture of this car.
If my answer is correct I would continue with number 2017 :D

Before asking for clues I'll have another attempt at Bowden(1). Is it H.L.Bowden, a race driver participating at the 1905 Ormond Beach Races with his 120 hp Mercedes?
