8488: Nice guess, but not that.

Perhaps a GWK, Type F?
Not GWK and not that known.

How could I have been so blind? The number should place this cat nearer the middle of your alphabetical list. I can't find a picture, but I think it could be the Lewis.

The Abbey was a short-lived friction drive car assembled by the Abbey Auto Engineering Co. Ltd in Westminster, England. It used a 10.8 hp 1498 cc Coventry-Simplex engine. It was built in 1922 only and cost £315. It also had Marles steering and friction drive. The two-seater model sold for ₤315.
Very few seem to have been made. After 1922 the car was sold as the Lewis.

Argh!

Makes in the 8,000's seemed grouped around the letter "L".

OK - Clyno is nearer the beginning of the alphabet. How about a 1922 model?

They are but makers are 16700, more than the double...models are 103000...nearly 13  times more.
Not a Clyno and not that known.

1st useless clue: it's British.
I suppose you may want a 2nd clue: active briefly  (1921-1923) and that model have some French influences.

22517: Very close alphabetically but not that and not that known. It was a series of Specials and you pick #2.
42517: As I wrote before, when I have a maker with no models, I just write the Make as if it was a model just to have it under the list of models too. This company was called Grand Center and was from 1913.

If I correctly understand, 42517 is Grand Center, and I've nothing to guess....while I need a clue for 22517.

42517 is Grand Center, do you know any info about?
22517: 1st useless clue: It's British. 2nd clue: those specials where racing cars built around early 1950s

That was a very generous clue!  :D

British Automotive Co. Ltd., Chelsea, London

This was a light car whose prototype was based on the Mathis, though production cars used Belgian-designed and British-built Peters engines in two sizes 1207cc 9.5hp and 1498cc 10.8hp.  They were 4 cylinder side-valve units, and attempts to convert them to ohv were apparently unsuccessful.  The gearbox was a 4-speed Meadows, and final drive was by shaft.  Body styles included a 2 seater with dickey and a 4 seater.  Probably no more than 20 were made.

If I'm allowed three more, I would like:

607
5380
8539

Thanks!

10151: Yes!
100151: I have a list of manufacturers and theyr models. The manufacturer you are looking for builds a series of T-Bucket, Roadster, Pick-Up or Track-T cars inspired to '23, '27 and '32 Ford. I don't know if they are the builders of the car in that movie.
I'll leave you a clue: if you mispell this name you'll have a quite known German maker of BMW-based retro roadsters.

100151 : I'm completely lost in T-Buckets and I'm not particularly fond of Hot Rods, so I prefer to leave.  Sorry.  Thanks anyway for your hint.
May I have 1251, 10251 and 100251 ?
