Please identify this car correctly, so I can give you a point!
Another one that won't make it to the higher level, dammit!
Experts?
AJB from 1949 or so
Built By Archie Butterworth in 1948 using a stiffened Jeep chassis and a Steyr V8 air cooled engine. It was built primarily for sprints and hillclimbs but was also raced on occasion
And another point for you
and that's Archie Butterworth standing next to it in the crash helmet.
After an accident, the AJB Special was sold to Bill Milliken. Mr. Milliken raced the car with some success after it was repaired. While the car was rolled up like a ball, it acquired the name "Butterball".
As of 2008, this car was in the company lobby of Seagrave Fire Apparatus of Clintonville, WI., USA.
A rather peculiar car - what is the base car, what powers it, from when and who is responsible for all this ?
base WW2 JEEP CHASSIS, ENGINE WAR SURPLUS AIR COOLED STEYER V8 BUILDER ARCHIE BUTTERWORTH , DATES FROM 1948
