1956 Studebaker Polynesian by John Hychko

An amazing car...and an amazing answer, even if the year is wrong! The car is not from 1956 (it couldn't have had '59 Caddy's tail fins in '56). The base is a '53 Stude, with two Dodge '57 fronts, Ford's mechanics. This car has been recently found in a junkyard. Anyway well done.

As far as the date is concerned, this scan from Custom Cars magazine (November 1959 issue) describes the car as being based on a 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk and built by John Hychko, not Hitchko. The Golden Hawk was indeed introduced in 1956.
