For my quiz number 300 I want to offer you something different, hoping you'll have fun from it.
Here you are eleven cars and eleven men (10 men and a woman); every car is linked to one men, some links are easy when you recognize the car and the man, other links are less evident.
So, your task is to correctly identify cars and man, to form eleven couples revealing which is the link.
Every correct answer will earn you a point.
No limit for Rookies, maximum of three points for each Expert.
Good luck.

And the men.

Sorry, someone perhaps will note that a man has disappeared and another one has arrived;  I had wrongly attached the picture of Gastone Brilli Peri who wasn't linked to any car.

targhediferro

I think it's fair to let everybody try to get these points...so, up.

Wendax

h is the Rastrojero pickup, powered by a Borgward engine; 5 is Carl F.W.Borgward.

First attempt, and first point! The answer is absolutely right. A point to Wendax.

I think I have to stop now.  ;)

Craig Gillingham

a: looks like a Lanchester to me, this could match up with 2: Frederick W. Lanchester, one of the brothers that started Lanchester.

Craig Gillingham

m: is a 1914 SCAT 22-32, that won the Targa Florio that year. I'm hoping that links to 4:? a young Ernesto Ceirano who started SCAT, and was the driver in 1914.

Carnut

Car e is the ItalDesign VW Karmmann-Ghia Cheetah.
I can't see a picture of Wilhelm Karmann or Giugiaro so is man no. 4 a young Luis Segre, who would go on to own Ghia, so the connection is Ghia?

Renault base, not 12, but wrong link.

I think Car C could be a Donnet from the early 1930s. When Donnet stopped trading, their factory at Nanterre was bought by Simca. Person 9 is Henri Pigozzi who founded Simca, and ran it for nearly thirty years.

Oguerrerob

i - Hoover Bonetti Circus Renault Estafette - and 8 - Jean Redele, son of Renault dealer, and took over his father's business. Worked with Renault. Alpine founder.

Correct identification of the car, even not complete, but not the man.

Maybe man no. 8 is Wilhelm Karmann, who founded the coachbuilder that this car is named after?

targhediferro

No, man number 8 is not W.Karmann.

Craig Gillingham

Are any of the men shown apart of the Ceirano family?

targhediferro

No Ceirano's family member.

ropat53

m: SCAT and 8 Amédéé Gordini who in 1918 built a record car for Giuseppe Moschini, on a SCAT chassis with an Hispano Suiza engine, the car was driven by Tazio Nuvolari.

That's right, and the second point for Ropat.

Is number 4 a very young Enzo Ferrari?

No, man number 8 is not W.Karmann.

Sticking with the same tack though, is Man no.3 Sergio Sartorelli, who designed the original VW Karmann-Ghia, hence the connection with Car e?
