Was this car manufactured in Berlin, or one of its suburbs?

Was this car manufactured in what would later become East Germany?

That leaves West Germany.  So, the southern half of West Germany?

Well if the puzzle car is from Bavaria, then I will make the assumption (perhaps wrong) that it was manufactured in Munich.  You have already established that it is an obscure marque, and you are generally very adept at not doing re-posts.  With this in mind, I'll try a: 1921/22 Mayrette designed by Karl Mayr using a 500cc BMW boxer type engine.

Congratulations, you found the right maker, and I'll award you the point, although it is not a Mayrette. The Mayrette was built in 1933/1934 by Mayr and was a threewheeler. This one is just called Mayr Kleinstkraftwagen (= cyclecar). Many sources mix these two up. I'll add more pictures tonight.

Thanks Gerd.  The information I have indicates that the later vehicle was a 200cc JAP powered three wheeler, but nowhere does it indicate that both vehicles were not called Mayrette.  However it is quite logical that the later vehicle, being smaller, would be called by the diminutive Mayrette to distinguish it from the larger Mayr.
