Might this be a Fuchs competition car from about 1923?
No
ESA ?
Laurin-Klement?
1924 - ÖAF Austro Fiat AF1 - 2 ltr., 60 PS
Not ESA and not Laurin & Klement, because

1924 - ÖAF Austro Fiat AF1 - 2 ltr., 60 PS
is mainly correct! It is a 1926 ÖAF AF1 Sport. Austro-Fiat became ÖAF (Österreichische Automobil-Fabrik) in 1925.
Thank you for the point. I'm rather puzzled why you say it's 1926 when the last picture you posted says Lanner raced the car in 1925?
I found the car in "Autos im Lanner Familienalbum" and the picture below says:
"Riesrennen 1924 - ÖAF Austro Fiat AF1 - 2 ltr., 60 PS
- Bestzeit Tourenwagen, 3. Platz gesamt"
And Google translates as: "Ries race 1924 - ÖAF Austro Fiat AF1 -. 2 ltr, 60 hp
- best time touring car, 3 Place overall"
Sorry, the magazine clipping was from 1926.
