Not a Cudell. It has a De Dion-Bouton engine though.

Congratulations, it is a Phébus.
That was a real hard nut...
Earlier in the thread I guessed Aster, because that was a name on the Wikipedia site for tricycles powered by de Dion motors. I notice on the Georgano entry for Phebus that the company's full name was Phebus-Aster. Don't worry, I'm not claiming anything, but does anyone know the full story here? The posted period advert for the Phebus shown above does not even mention the Aster name.
The Aster connection would be to do with the make of engine the tricycle used. Along with De Dion, Aster (also known as L'Aster), made a lot of engines to fit everything, from small air cooled engines, like in this tricycle, up to at least 10 litre engines used in Merryweather fire engines. Aster, as far as I can tell, mostly just made engines.

Thanks, Craig. Simple answer. It does suggest that the Wikipedia entry is incorrect - now there's a shock.
