Elegance on wheels and heels.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

1953 Fiat 1900 by Ghia, designed by Virgil Exner Jr

Remember, this is AutoPuzzles, where things rarely are what they seem to be.
You are quite close, but it is not a Fiat.

Found it as a 1953 Steyr 2000 by Ghia

Wendax

Yes, that's the one. Steyr equipped Fiat 1900 with their own powerful two-litre engine and marketed them as Steyr 2000.

Well done, one more point for you.

Thanks ! When I answered first I indeed thought that this puzzle was a bit too easy. I should follow my instinct more often !

Are you sure? The car is without license plate and looks at one of the usual concourse d'elegance, most probably in Italy.

I'll have a look at the original picture tonight.

Wendax

The emblem above the grille looks circular like the Steyr badge to me. Furtheron I took it from an Austrian source where it was described as a Steyr.

And a second photo (with a Fiat 1400 display in the foreground):

Are there two different cars or is it the same car that have gone through updates?

grobmotorix

The car on Bill´s photo has a two-tone paintjob and seems to lack the additional lower front lights - however I think it should be the same car.

What do you think?
Is it also a Steyr 2000 Ghia?
This car was on display in Bruxelles in 1954:
