Title: Solved: Wendax 1275 - Loewy proposal for Studebaker
Post by: Wendax on June 05, 2014, 02:06:01 AM
It probably remained on this stage of development.

For one point, please respond and identify this car project by naming the desígner and the company it was done for.

I guess not the kind of aerodynamic pioneer you are thinking of, but the designer in question was also known for some fine streamline designs.

Any idea when and where these went up for sale?  Was there anything that positively identified them with Loewy?  These look much more like Tucker Carioca sketches than Loewy.

Or did Loewy copy Sakhnoffsky or was it the other way around?  Any dates or any other info would be very helpful...

I'll take the liberty of posting the link since it will be of such interest to many members here; scroll about 20% of the way down for the right section:
