Winter is coming.

For one point, please respond and identify this car and its coachbuilder.

Sorry, Fabrizio, I do not think I am stealing this one from you, I have 2 hours in research on the vehicle and had found the solution.

Hansa 2000 from 1938 with body by Gläser.

It's my fault....I recognised it as an Hansa 2000, but I had no time to dig about a coachbuilder, so I hoped in a lock. No matter Bill:)

Wendax

Don't worry, it is a Gläser bodied Hansa, but not a 2000.  ;D

Still not locked ? Could it be a Hansa 3500 by Gläser ?

Yes, a Hansa 3500 Cabriolet by Gläser.

One point for you.

Bill Murray

Interesting....

I'm not going to argue the point as I don't have a lot of evidence, but a normally very accurate site had my photo as well as yours described as a Hansa 2000.  The site also had the rendering posted below of a proposed 3500 cabriolet and I found the same rendering elsewhere including a very good site on the coach builder.

Hmmmm!!

I am rather embarrassed here and I apologize.

I took as "the absolute truth"  the information I got on this car from a source I have used for years that has almost always been 100% correct.  I did not pay too much attention to the louvers in the motor hood on the artist rendering and I should have.

As Hansa and Borgward civilian vehicles are not part of my normal research outside of a general interest in coach built cars of the 1930's, I was not up to speed on the different models and I apologize for that.

In any case, the short lived Hansa 2000 certainly is different with respect to the hood louvers as is the 2300.

I have a new source now and it states that only 200 Hansa 3500 cars were made 1936-1939 and most seem to be 4 door limousine type sedans with full sun-roof.

The 2000 was apparently made in 1938 as a Hansa and in 1939 as a Borgward after the takeover.  2,000 examples.

The 2300 was the successor to the 2000 and was built in 1,000 examples from 1939-1942.

Below are some example photos.

No need to apologize, Bill. I always take these comments as a good reason to have a second look, and you can believe me that I quite often find some errors or vagueness in my own information.
