Elegant.
For one point, please respond and identify this car and its coachbuilder.
up
It should be a Fiat 1400 bodied by Bertone.
It is a Fiat 1400, but not by Bertone.
You are right, it's coachbuilt by Stabilimenti Farina. I never realized before how similar is it to the 1st Bertone St.Leger. Both by Michelotti, of course...
Yes, coachwork by Stabilimenti Farina. Locked for you to find its name.
It was called "Cabriolet Partenope" (latin name of Naples).
Not the name I have, still locked.
My source is the period magazine Motor Italia, that should be very reliable.
Does your use a different definition as "Convertibile" (also often used by Farina for his open bodies) instead of "Cabriolet" or the issue is about "Partenope"?
I took the picture from a Stab. Farina brochure, and there it is called Cabriolet 5 Posti "XXX" Fiat 1400 (don't count the Xs).
My last guess is "Brasile", that according to Motor Italia should have been the coupé version...
I'll accept that although my source says Brasil without "e". ;)
One more point for you.
Very good. Not just for my 150th point, but also because so I'm able to fix a little mistake in my coachbuilt-Fiats knowledge-base.
It has been a pleasure for me. ;)
