Thanks for front page coverage!

Arunas

Other cars by this maker were also one-offs?

Wendax

As little as I know, yes.

I don't have a year, but telling by the looks I am tempted to agree.

Alfa-Romeo based, built in South Africa...not the only car by the builder...Is the answer in a book?

Wendax

I found the picture at an online auction and an article online which I can't find right now. That's all I know about this car.

SACO

A bad photo !
Alfa 1900 by Giovanni Cecchini  (Karoo _ South Africa  ) ?

Wendax

A very nice find. Now we know the Alfa Romeo model it was based on: the 1900.

My Italian isn't good at all, but I understand that Giovanni Cecchini was not the builder. I have another name anyway. Perhaps a native speaker can summarize the text.  ;D

The text contains the location where these specials were built, the Campo Felice station at Three Sisters.

The most important thing is missing though, the name of this car.

Paul Jaray

It's barely readable but Cecchini was the person who arrived in that Shell distributor, called "Campo Felice" owned by an Italian family and where he saw the car, shown by the family.

Googling that name, "Giovanni Cecchini", I find this race driver. Any connection?

Wendax

I don't know as I never noticed his name until SACO's post. Perhaps SACO can tell us more about his source.

Paul Jaray

I hope is Quattroruote Magazine...

Wendax

A big hint in order to get this one solved: its name is very similar to a name used by a mass-produced sports car and a low-volume sports car as well.

Djetset

This one has been dormant for too long! Could its name be Alpine?

How about Tiger? (just keen to see this one solved, as it's an Alfa, and this has been intriguing me now for too long!)  :D

Keep on trying, not Tiger.
