Its an Aktiv Fischer Snow Trac made in Sweden , designed primarily to operate on Snow.

Looking at it, it probably dates fom the late 50's early 60's, but they made them up until the early 80's.

The Canadian Military have quite a few of them up in the Artic, I have seen them stored at CFB Trenton waiting to be flown up north in a Hercules Transport Aircraft.
