Thanks a lot mekubb for the welcome message!

Regarding the year of manufacture, I have been searching for clues but haven't found anything really relevant so far. How long do I have until you unlock?

If I may ask for a nudge in the right direction, and since your answer implies that there are only two -easy?- possibilities, can the year of the car be deducted from something that can be seen from the outside? I was thinking about the number of exhaust tubes for example since there has been different engines fitted to that car along the years. Or should it be deducted from the look of the car. If yes to the latter question, then I think this body design is probably from the late thirties (as opposed to the early thirties).

You are on the right track that the body has been altered, that explains the 2 possibilities for the right year. Still locked

I am completely lost so please unlock!

I keep looking at the picture and can't find a single clue as to when that car was made. So my opinion is that it was either bodied/altered in the 30's or... much more recently (why not a complete recreation made in the 70's? That dashboard doesn't look quite right to me).

So my new question is: was the body made at the same period than the chassis?

Well, just do a guess about the year. Hint : the body was altered not that many years after the original body was mounted, so not a recreation from the 70's

1936, and that's my final answer!
1938 plus 2 = ??
or
1938 minus 4 = ??

It's not so difficult....

Usually I am not that bad at mathematics...

Ok, so I guess it must be 1940.

:applause: 1940 is correct, 1934 would have been as well... The car is originally from 1934 but was rebodied by Graber in 1940. It is not 100% sure that Graber is the coach builder, could have been Worblaufen as well. Anyway a point for you. Here is pic from the front of the car
