I should have used reference books from the beginning, rather than guess! There are at least 17 marques for the period 1899-1905 which begin with the letter 'A', but luckily for me this is one of them. It's a name I have never heard of - Accles-Turrell. It appears to have been built in 1899, with the usual single-cylinder 3.5hp engine.

Like you, I'd never heard of Accles-Turrell, but I'm pleased to see it was the same Accles as Accles & Pollock, a tube-making firm well-known for its adverts making fun of its own name, such as:

or Shackles & Wedlock
but Accles & Pollock
