What's this, powered by what, built when and where - for 1 point?:

It's a home-built one-off but that's all you've got right there!

Powered by an European engine ?

nicanary

It appears to have been built by a supporter of CND  ;D. *

My guess is VW power......

(* ubiquitous Cortina taillghts.)
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Carnut

Not a European engine ergo not VW...

Dzima1985....could I ask where did you get that pic from?

dzima1985

I found it in the same place where you found your photo, Paul!  :D

Paul Jaray

I did not find it.
I found the previous owner of the car after a long search, get in contact with him and then he gave me those pics and posted them in my FB page.

Paul Jaray

I think I have to explain what happened.
These 2 pics are on my Facebook page. The previous owner of it, mr Searle, posted them after I reached him asking for more info about this car.
Why I was not answering myself? Because I found it with GSI.
I was after the car and not the point and I was not going to post anything on Facebook or Autopuzzles untill the puzzle was over.
Unfortunately Mr Searle did it before me and of course he couldn't know about the puzzle...as well as Dzima could not know about all this.
Only a little doubt from him and a PM before his post could have avoided this, but I can understand in the Pro section it's always harder and harder to score a point.
I'm sorry for Carnut's puzzle...my use of GSI at the end spoiled it even if I tried to avoid it.

Carnut

That is a pity as this was a satisfyingly very difficult puzzle to solve, although the answer was out there (I found my picture on the 'Net of course).

So dzima got the picture from PJ's Facebook page?

Who has earned a point then?!
