What is it?

Bertrand, I really had to dig deep into the bookshelves to find this one. I believe it to be a Bellanger A1.  This was a pretty obscure French make built in Neuilly-sur-Seine between 1921-1925. That's as close as I can come on the year - they did not appear to change all that much from start of production to the end, and there are not all that many photos of them in books (or on the web) to begin with.

LATE UPDATE: Once I decided it to be a Bellanger, I found the quiz photo on the web which does identify it as a 1921 Bellanger A1 15 CV.

No, but your first guess was probably correct. My source said that it was a Type 2, but I can't find any other proof for that. So I agree that it is a Type A1, which makes it a repost (except for the bodywork): https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2015-44/bellanger-a1-(1921).
One more point, and sorry for the confusion.
