Who knows this car?
-
Up!
-
Pro´s choice...
-
Was this the only car built by its maker?
-
I think so.
I only have one name and a year...
-
1949?
-
Right!
LOCKED for 24h, if it may help...
-
It's a cruel day today. Again I've seen it before but can't remember where. Perhaps a night's sleep might help ;)
-
You can hear the countdown. ... ;)
But don´t worry - I do not really think anybody else will find it out until tomorrow...
-
Unlocked...
-
Hanomag?
-
Not a Hanomag, sorry...
-
To the black hole.
-
from czechoslovakia ?
-
The license plate is a postwar German one, from Lower Saxony (BN = Britsche Zone Niedersachsen).
-
is this a cycle-car?
-
According to wikipedia,
Cyclecars were small, generally inexpensive cars manufactured mainly between 1910 and the late 1920s
.
This is from 1949 and is fitted with a much smaller engine tha an average cyclecar of the decades before.
The license plate is a postwar German one, from Lower Saxony (BN = Britsche Zone Niedersachsen).
The manufacturer of this car comes fom Bavaria and its former name is still quite well known.
If I understand my source correctly it wasn´t intended to be a one-off, but possibly was one, though...

Are we looking for a person's name or a company name?
-
Are we looking for a person's name or a company name?
I want to know the company´s name (which is quite easy to find I´m sure)
and the model name (which is definitly hard...).
-
Did the company build cars before WW2?
-
I didn´t know they´ve built cars at all, before I´ve found this photo with an explanatory text... :D
But you and many others definitly know the company!
-
Löwenbräu ??? :lmao:
-
No. :D
The vehicles you definitly know only have two wheels...
-
So we are looking for a well-known German motorcycle manufacturer who never built cars (except for our puzzle car). Triumph (TWN)?
-
They were not really a motorcycle manufacturer, but have built the most important components...
-
Fichtel & Sachs
-
That´s it!
Locked for you for 24h.
Now I need the model name...
-
any ties with Goggomobil ?
-
To my best knowledge no.
-
You may unlock. I wasn't able to find a name.
-
Open for all.
-
New Map ??
-
No.
-
what about puch ?
-
It´s still a Fichtel + Sachs car.
-
Is it perhaps the Fichtel & Sachs Saxonette?
-
Sorry, no...
-
I want this to be solved...
A very well known movie actress was Greta G....
Those missing four letters are the last ones of the five letter name of this car ;)
-
Harbo?
-
Or are the letters placed in a different order like in Mobra?
-
Oguerrerob got how it works and Wendax introduced the correct letter :)
-
Marbo
-
Tata!!!
Two points for you.
I really want to know more about it now...
-
that,s an interesting car,was there any further information on it?
-
No - that´s why I let them solve it.
This is the only piece of information I ever found about this vehicle.
Nothing could be found in the internet until now.
I never knew about plans before, that Fichtel & Sachs wanted to produce a car - well something like that at least ;)
So maybe some day someone who knows more, will find it here and may contribute some more information...
-
I have my doubts whether Fichtel & Sachs was involved in this project, more than being the manufacturer of the (used?) engine. I can't see why a big Bavarian company like Fichtel & Sachs should build a car prototype in Lower Saxony.
-
Sure there are doubts.
However the text explicitely names Fichtel & Sachs as the company that wanted to built this one.
I know that there were very similar pedal cars like this 1949 one from Düsseldorf in 1949. (photo #1)
It still were hard times in Germany and companies like ZF started to build cars, too... (photo #2)
