I'm starting my puzzles in the experts from now on because I've not seen a rookie for ages and they simply languish in that section before being promoted.
Yet again, if you recognize this feller you'll find this a lot easier! Here though I know the vehicle and would like what it is in exchange for one point thank you kindly!
Familiar to the pros?

Que?? Well, that's me flummoxed. There's a massive set of carbs on top of the block, and a Cadillac badge in the grille.
Is it an American engine in a European chassis? It looks a lot like the Farrallac - is it indeed Allard based? (Sorry that's 2 questions - please forgive my breach of forum etiquette).

Well you're certainly onto something! (In that respect it could be considered an American car, but the chassis is European so I use that as base - sorry if that was misleading!)
Your first question is correct, and it
is also Allard based! Held for your next answer to see what you can dig up with that!
It's now 24 hours, and I haven't found what it is. You can unlock it by all means - I surrender just like England's opening batsmen.

Haha alright, have back at it everyone! Some excellent clues provided already, anyone familiar with the car they lead to?
It is the Cadillac-powered JR Allard by L.C.Kirby Jr. from Dallas, Texas.

And that indeed is the correct answer, well done!
It was at the '58 NHRA Nationals. I was looking through SCCA entries for 1952- 1956. Two more hours of my life wasted ;D
