Yes. the car is British - the race was held in the USA I am quite sure.

Is it a rebodied MG Magnette K3?

To my best knowledge the basis car it is not a K3, but a PA/PB.

I didn't recognise the car without its wings, but I think it's the 1935 MG PA, fitted with a PB engine and Marshall supercharger, and raced by Miles Collier, nicknamed Leonidis. This body was fitted in 1937 after a bad crash.
