Who knows this one?

I have some ideas..... when I saw this one I thought 'oh yeh, I have that somewhere, it'll come to me soon'... but now I cannot for the life of me remember where i've seen it, or what it's called. ::) This is one of several frustrating puzzles that are current at the moment.

to save it being an easy meal for a pro, i'll make some guesses
Based on DKW?

grobmotorix

Not a DKW, but the overall direction is right.

Hmm...
If not DKW or NSU based perhaps Steyr-Puch?

barrett

At first I thought it was BMW-based but a quick check told me it wasn't one of the two cars I was thinking of.... could it still be based on a BMW?

grobmotorix

Sorry, I wasn´t precise enough with my last post.

It is NSU-based, of course!

woodinsight

I rather think that it was me who misinterpreted your post!

"It's getting very hot!" should of course be interpreted as "getting close"

Therefore I now think this may be the 1960s Gepard-NSU

It is indeed the privately built NSU TTS Gepard.

The photography shows the 1967 Prototype by Mr.Fellhauer at the Heilbronn/Neuffen hillclimb.

It looks so much like a Biota, but I know it's not. It's LHD for a start!

French?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Which was also RHD!. My first glance at the photo said "Collesano" in the Targa Florio, but I've searched records, and it doesn't fit the entries. I think it could be a hillclimb event, and there's a certain site which has many, many photos of that era, and I'm talking over 1000 pages!

I don't think I can be bothered........ ;D

Not Simca based !
Not French !
A hillclimb event but not Jeff Jackson's Sportster !

nicanary

Sorry SACO, we're not asking questions correctly. Just random opinions and observations.

Is it BMW 700 based?
