Know what it is? The basis of of the car should be easy - to win, you also need to tell us who built this body.

Make, model and carrosserie, please.

Please, respond below and let us know what car you think you see here.

Does the plate on the front say "Milton?"
"Honi soit qui mal y pense"

Click the pic....... Name the car

The donor car could be a Fiat 850 perhaps? Or a VW Type 1?

No, but you are very close.

It is a Milton based on a Seat 600. From about 1967.

Otto Puzzell

Absolutely correct! Next time, I'll remember to hide the plate.  ^-^

This is another one that's been posted before in pre-historic times, but I think is due a re-run as there's no-one left here from those days who isn't a Pro already (and the Pro's will never get a stab at it as it will never reach that board whether solved by a Rookie/Expert or not!)

What is it, based on what, from when - for 1 point?:

Remember - solving puzzles using 'Google Search by Image' is BANNED on AutoPuzzles!

Quite so.
Nice little car.
Do you know how many were made?

I'll have to merge it now as it is a re-post from the pre-historic days..

I took the puzzle picture from here:

Here's some copied-and-Google-translated text about the car from a Spanish site:

The Milton (also known as "Milton Seat" or "Seat 600 Milton"), is one of the derivatives of Seat 600 that emerged in the decades of the 60s and 70s in Spain. The Milton is considered the first domestically manufactured spider produced in series (although it was very limited), as previously only had been achievements Serra bodybuilder that stayed virtually as prototype. Milton was presented at the Barcelona Motor Sector which was held in March 1967.

The body design of fiberglass of Milton was the work of Antonio and Pedro Mata brothers, Vilafranca del Penedes (Barcelona). To incorporate the mechanics of Seat 600 D in a convertible car, the chassis had to be reinforced and suspension and brakes also had to be modified. 4 shock absorbers were replaced with higher strength, and rear springs and the front spring were also reinforced. Brakes, although they maintained their original configuration, jaws were optimized with larger surface.

In Milton coexisted the other elements of both models of Seat as other brands such as Renault (R8 taillights) or DKW (headlights).

The price of Milton was very tight, costing 105,000 pesetas the normal version and the version with 119,000 pesetas prepared engine. It was almost the same price of Seat 850 Coupe in its standard version.

The production was very limited and between 1967 and 1968 on the autobastidor Seat type BU, a total of 36 units were built apart from the initial prototype.

Thanks.
I thought it had rather the look of Giugiaro's Fiat 850 Spider (pictured below for reference) and am a bit surprised to see that it's not related; DKW headlights?  They look like Fiat 850 Spider headlights to me, but what do I know?!

Perhaps they took them from this Spanish DKW van:
