Alfa Romeo 6 Barchetta sold by Mecanicimport from Belgium in 2006. Modern evocation of a fifties sports car. It has disappeared from Mecanicimport website but it's still mentioned in an Alfa Romeo forum. It was for sale on eBay but the ad has disappeared too of course.

Yes, it did appear on the Mecanicimport website, but their info is often a bit sparse.
For the point I need to know who built it and what it was based on!

1961 Alfa Romeo Barchetta, built in Argentina by Nestor Salerno based on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Coupé. The 1300 cc engine has been replaced by a 2-litre unit.
