Fiat 1100 Garden-car Vignale?
Not Fiat 1100 Garden-car Vignale !
1951 Alfa Romeo 1900 Giardiniera from Uruguay by the French immigrant Dante Baudena, whom build/finsihed within his workshop Paris-Niza European cars. This was done to avoid taxation. The car is currently owned by Corrado Lopresto.
From the AlfaBB:

The longest comment to the picture (in Spanish) explains the story of Dante Baudena who arrived at Uruguay from France and setup a business for automotive-bodywork building based on the chassis from several other cars (among them the 1900 Alfa), the main reason for this business being that the uruguayan buyers could spare some kind of local taxes on imported finished cars. He later moved to Argentina where he continued with his business on a larger scale.
The pictured car however doesn't completely fit in this story as apparently he specialized in sport and luxury cars. Also the Alfa Romeo logo in the glove box is baffling
Enclosed a picture of Dante in his bodyshop.
Yes ! 1951 Alfa Romeo 1900 Giardiniera from Uruguay by Dante Baudena !
1 point for 58_spyder ! :)
It's a repost..
The car at the "RetròVisioni" exhibition, Museo dell'Automobile di Torino, this year
The car was built in the workshop of Dante Baudena and Andrés Barbé starting from a Colli 1900 "Ministeriale" sent to Uruguay from Alfa Romeo without the paint.
