Are you sure about the date? The Pantheon Basel, where it was shown in an exposition, has it as being from 1953.

Good question, my source says :'This car arrived at the coachbuilder on 17 March 1949 and left two months later on 24 May 1949' So whom to believe ?

Worblaufen built 16 of these Traction Avant convertibles, the first one in 1949. Perhaps that is the reason for the date confusion?

Anyway, there is a typo in the header: it should read Worblaufen.
