Very strange.  I have a usually reliable source that says it is a 1910, but I have located another source that shows the identical vehicle at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance as a 1905.  Based on the second source, I'll try:  1905 Royal Model G.

The solution is not completely correct: While the company was the Royal Motor Car Company as stated, the cars were called Royal Tourist, not just Royal. Interestingly, the Standard Catalog has the Series G model just for the years 1907 and 1908. In 1905 there was just a Model F, in 1910 just a Model M.

Your point regarding Royal Tourist is well taken Gerd.  I erred in thinking Royal Tourist was just another description for a Royal tourer, rather than a proper name.  However, with regard to the Standard Catalog, I think it is in error regarding the production years for the Model G.  I have a source (link will be provided via PM upon request) that says both the Model F and Model G were initiated in 1904.  Both models had a common 100" wheelbase, but the Model G was powered by an 18/20 HP two cylinder engine, whereas the more expensive Model F was powered by a 32/38 HP four cylinder engine.  Attached is a 1904 advertisement for the Model G.

If a puzzle pic has no visible badge or name on the grill, I always wonder if it's been obscured in the picture for the sake of the puzzle. If it has, I like to see what the unmodified pic looks like, especially if it's a make I haven't seen a picture of before.

I think I came across the place where you got this information. It is a website with many interesting car pictures, but lots of typos and other errors.

I'm agree with you, wonderful website for car pictures but incomplete for type of car and year.
Each time (when I picked up the name of car in this website) I check with other website, or my différents books.
For this car, the problem is lot of different web site give a same wrong year for this picture.
