A photo of the car ?
I'll post some tonight. :)
The Pio was built by Bruno Piotrowski, a coachbuilder from Hamburg-Fischbek. The design was done by one of his employees, Werner Blessing. The unit body didn't have any doors, the hardtop could be moved backwards for easier entrance, and left open during a ride it turned the Pio into a kind of convertible. An Ilo 400 cc twin-cylinder two-stroke engine drove the rear wheels, which were positioned close together. The Pio was just 3 meters long, 1.4 meters wide and weighed 300 kg. Its top speed was said to be 80 km/h. It was presented at a local car fair in Winsen/Luhe in 1950. According to the rare literature sources, just one prototype was built. But in a book about Hamburg-Fischbek there is an article about Piotrowski, in which a picture of a second car is shown, looking similar to the known Pio, but different in quite a few details. It certainly looks like an earlier version of the Pio. The only thing that casts a little shadow of doubt, is the fact that it has a license plate from Bremen. I have added the picture of that second car to the two Pio pictures below.
