So when he gave it Mercedes-Benz wheel covers and taillights, did he change the engine as well?

I know Alpine did an A310 prototype disguised as a Maserati Merak so would presume they dremt up  this psudo SM/ Mercedes one up to disguise the new V6 version with its Citroen SM style headlamp setup  that came out in 1976?

The thought did cross my mind it was a Delorean test mule, but they would have left it looking like a standard A310.

It's not a prototype, but a real car that man has built for himself.

I remember seeing that car in an article some 40 years ago, but all I can recall is that it was built by a German or a Swiss guy.

The car has been sold in 1976. I found the announcement in an old car magazine.

What I found out is, that the seller came from Burgwedel near Hannover and the second number is today used by a bus company called Kelpe.

All the technical data are named - unfortunately the name of the car can not be read clearly.

The left letters look more like "ARRIATHA" and the right rear letters like "AFFIENAR"... :-\
