Ah ha, this could be one of many UK-built versions of the Fiberfab, with this one looking like the Excalibur Crusader kit.

You're right, yes, it's an Excalibur (which dzima points out I've posted before; sorry).
But, can you answer the question about what powers this particular car?

From memory these were Ford based, using Cortina and Capri running gear.

It said where I found the picture that it was a Pinto.

Thanks. The Ford Pinto engine was use in a number of Cortina and Capri models.
